3:19 PM
Hello friends,
Today post is quite exciting ! For once its not just some photos but awesome ideas for yourself to try out the next time you're in Saigon.
1. Chat coffee roaster &bistro.
This cute little bistro carry a hister / industrial vibe with minimalistic furniture and surrounded by lots of greens which is always a plus for the suffocating air in Saigon.
This is their drink menu, probably have the best coffee you will ever taste in your life. SERIOUSLY.
They roast their own coffee bean at the store and also sell them in package. If you're in district one, this place is a must to check out. Shout out to my cousin that own this place. So proud of him for making it on the trip advisor list. ( So i'm not lying ! ) Go see for yourself (: He speaks English pretty well and very genuine so this place also attracts lots of western folks.
It also got some awesome food here, I dont really have any photos beside this pictures but I think the photo does it justice. The portion is huge and it usually runs from 5-8$. I promise you will not regret this.
2. Notre Dame church ( Nha Tho Duc Ba )
This is the famous Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, officially Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception is a cathedral located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established by French colonists, the cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880.
Its quite fun to scout around this area, take photos, people watching and drink sugar cane pressed juice at the park across the street is quite interesting.
3. Ben Thanh Market
Bến Thành Market (Vietnamese: Chợ Bến Thành) is a large marketplace in central Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam in District 1. The market is one of the earliest surviving structures in Saigon and an important symbol of Hồ Chí Minh City, popular with tourists seeking local handicrafts, textiles, áo dài and souvenirs, as well as local cuisine. It is a must that you visited the market!!! It got an exotic atmosphere like no others. It can;t get more foreign than this.
4. PARTEA
This awesome English tea room in Saigon that I came crossed. The atmosphere is extremely adorable and totally bring out my inner princess personality. Check it out the next time you're in Saigon.

5. Hello Weekend market
This is the place for many many popular local brands to come and have one huge pop-up market.
The clothings brands presenting at this market are very similar to those big brands in the world like Forever21 // H&M // Zara // Topshop // for much cheaper. It also got make up / beauty products and others goods like home decors and more.
It is very exciting and for sure you can find awesome deals. The address/ events changes every weekend so you will have to follow them on instagram to be updated. YOU MUST NOT MISS this event. I had so much fun here and found a bunch of awesome deals for my self.

6.Escape room
So, if you haven't went already you totes should. It is quite popular in Vancouver ( where I live ) but its cost around 20-40$ which is a bit much for me. In saigon, it cost around 10$ / person. It is expensive for Saigonese I supposed ( for average student anyway ) but it was worth it. It would so much fun if you with a group of friends or at least 4 people.
The concept is that you will get lock in a room together, you'll have to find clues to break the code to get to the next room. they usually have 4-5 room per theme. You and your friends will have 1 hour to figure this thing out. Rules and the hour may vary depends where you go but thats the concept.
I didn't expect to have so much fun with this kind of geeky activity but it was a blast. ( So much fun we ended up going twice :P )

7. 3T BBQ restaurant.
This is another shameless promo for my cousin since she's running this giant place in the heart of this hectic city. It is a rooft top BBQ resto so it is very airy although its BBQ food. I personally don't like BBQ food in the heat of Saigon but the food here is divine. I can't tell you enough how wonderful it was for me to enjoy my favourite dish from this place "beef wrap with cheese " or whatever it calls, I can't remember excatly the name but it should be the frist dish on the menu. The fry rice with garlic is also very good. If you want to be different, try lotus rice pot. The price range is for sure in the higher range. about 8-10$/dish. You'll have to order about 4-5 dishes to be full but its a neat place to eat in district one.
8. Bui Vien street
This is the heart of the district 1. Also known as " the white town " since many many western folks like to hang out here. Yes, there are tons of young people, yes it is busy, yes it is crowded. But there is a cool vibe and lots to see, watch, eat, and do.
High class spot with good quality international cuisine. Somewhat expensive, yet well worth a visit for the fantastic night view outside and inside We knew about the prices, so that was aright. The drinks were so tasty and beautifully made.
That sign is from my favourite and many others people's choice for smoothie. It is in an alley, and we do sit outside with nothing but a plastic chair as table. But I promise you, their smoothie is awesome, refreshing, big portion and cheap. What better can you ask for ? It also made it on the tripadvisor list so look it up if you still have doubt.
